Father's Day 500

Despite a little wet weather the Father's Day 500 went off without a hitch. The 21 contestants arrived in Ayr for their chance to race and win a brand new John Deere LA115 lawn tractor, $500 in Dickie's work wear and a new set of tires courtesy of AgraTurf and The New Country 95.3FM.

Contestants qualified by collecting points through a combinatory of radio and web activities through Country 95.3FM. @1 finalists were selected from several hundred ballots. The course consisted of driving, backing up and winding through a series of obstacles to obtain the best time.

The competition was very close and every driver was well supported by their families and all those present. But Simcoe's own Doug Morrison took the win with a course time of 45.67 seconds.
